How to Use 
Wear: For the best results, the wood should be in direct contact with the skin as much as possible.
Replace: Over time, the wood will absorb acidity and the bark will begin to darken. Most customers replace their necklace every 3 to 6 months to maintain its neutralizing properties.
Care: Avoid wearing in the shower or pool, as constant soaking can cause the natural wood to wear prematurely.

Origin Story
Hazelwood actually began our start into a journey of natural skincare. Danek became covered head-to-toe in eczema rashes from the age of 6 months. We tried everything and anything we could find to relieve his discomfort, and from our experience, nothing was overly successful. We didn't want to just temporarily treat the outbreaks with steroid creams, which did offer a bit of relief; we wanted to entirely eliminate the issue if we could.
From many trials with various products, natural and prescribed, we finally found Hazelwood in the late summer of 2012 just as he was starting his kindergarten year of school. We were skeptical, given that nothing had worked up until this point long-term, but we hoped. Within two weeks, his skin was no longer inflamed, he was able to use lotions without screaming, and he was beginning to see relief he hadn't experienced. By Christmas time, all of the redness was gone, the flakiness was gone, and the ends of his big toes (which had split open) were now healed.
From that point, he would get some mild redness or dry skin around seasonal changes, but the full-body eczema outbreak was gone. By the time he was a teen, he no longer needed his hazelwood necklace, and he has been completely free of eczema since.
