1. Plant-Based & Small-Batch Formulations

• All West Five Story items—including our cold-process soaps, botanical skincare, balms, and upcycled laundry wash—are handcrafted in small batches using premium plant-based ingredients like sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, and olive oil, alongside natural beeswax and honey.

• Because our products are crafted with natural ingredients, minor variations in color, texture, or scent can occur between batches. These natural variations are a hallmark of genuine artisan production and do not affect the quality or efficacy of the product.

 

2. Skin Sensitivity & Patch Testing

• While our formulas are designed to be gentle and nourishing, natural ingredients and essential oils can still cause allergic reactions or irritations in individuals with specific sensitivities.

• We always recommend performing a patch test on a small area of skin 24 hours prior to full application. If irritation or redness occurs, discontinue use immediately.

• West Five Story is not responsible for any adverse reactions resulting from the use of our products. Please review all listed ingredients carefully if you have known plant or nut oil allergies.

 

3. Cosmetic Use Only

• Our skincare items, balms, and soaps are formulated for external cosmetic use only and should not be ingested. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

 

4. Storage & Shelf Life

• To preserve the integrity of our preservative-conscious, plant-based formulations, store your skincare items and soaps in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and standing water (especially for cold-process soap bars, which benefit from a draining soap dish between uses).
